Slope Design offers a full Furniture design service.
Everything we make is built to order. Whether you're looking for a little nightstand, storage for your extensive record collection, an entire bedroom fit out, or a patisserie display unit for your thriving café/bakery, it all starts with a conversation.
How it works
-
Every design project is unique and requires a flexible approach. My aim is to customise both the process and the final solutions to suit your individual needs. I follow a structured process that ensures smooth collaboration and optimal results for everyone involved.
Let us know more information about your project by filling out the contact form. This outline also details the payment protocol associated with this process.
Our first conversation is complimentary. During this stage, we will discuss your project and explore the possibility of working together. If we agree to proceed, we’ll arrange a follow up meeting to initiate the project.
It is helpful to discuss your budget , but any pricing discussed at this stage is only an initial guide and should not be considered a formal quote.
-
An on site meeting to go through your project in full detail.
During this meeting, we will cover layout, ergonomics, materials, colours, and other design elements. I will survey the location at this stage.
It is helpful at this stage for you to have sketches, images and/or samples that communicate your vision. This may include details such as jointing, handles, colours, sizes or any specific features you require.
This meeting typically lasts between one and two hours and is included in the initial design consultancy fees.
-
Taking all your requirements into consideration, I will put together a design brief that describes the project with a broad price range and a proposal with initial sketches, a basic CAD model (where appropriate) and hardware components options.
An invoice for €450.00 will be issued with the design proposal.
This stage will then involve some back-and-forth communication to refine and finalise the proposal, culminating with an approved design. This can take a number of weeks, depending on the scale of your project.
-
When we have agreed on all aspects of the design, I will provide a detailed quote for your approval.
Accepting the quote will trigger the initial invoice for 40% of the agreed cost. This covers design consultancy work to date and the cost of materials required for the project.
To facilitate an efficient making process, it is preferable that no further changes are made after this stage.
-
With the design finalised and the initial payment processed, workshop drawings are produced, the necessary materials are purchased and work on your project will then commence in the workshop.
-
As the making process nears completion, I will be in contact with you to arrange an installation date, and invoice for a second 40% payment.
-
When installation is complete and the project brief has been fully realised, A final invoice for the remaining 20% balance is issued.
Congratulations! Your project is complete!
